D-Ark Lab

Muualla

You can find us on the ground floor of the Design Museum, Korkeavuorenkatu 23.

Join us in creating the museum of the future! D-Ark Lab is an experimental space that invites you to explore our collections in exciting new ways and to share your views and input on our exhibits. By employing fresh, interactive approaches in our future exhibitions, we hope to offer our visitors a more inspirational museum experience and lively encounters with architecture and design.

Help us by sharing your input:
Can you suggest interesting new ideas for exhibiting our collections?
Why are architecture and design important to you?
What experiences, memories and meanings do you associate with objects?
What kind of objects should we preserve in our collections – and why?
Whose voice is generally not heard in museums?

What will you find in our D-Ark Lab?

The A&DO Lab is an interactive exhibition that inspires learning and invites you to reflect on things you cherish in your local neighbourhood. A&DO Lab, which toured Finland from 2021 to 2023 as part of Designmuseum’s Museum Vision project serves as a dedicated hub for school group visits. The school program will be announced in August.

The Exhibition Lab presents regularly refreshed temporary exhibitions on changing themes.

The Dialogue Lab invites you to engage all your senses and interact holistically with our objects, both familiar design classics and also some surprising highlights from our collections.
